About the Wiltipoll Breed

The Wiltipoll is a breed developed in Australia from the Wiltshire Horn for production of prime lamb. Its short white fleece completely sheds each year and is of no commercial value.
Wiltipolls offer quality meat production with low costs, much less work and produce superior quality, excellent tasting, lean lamb.
Wiltipolls have had huge success producing prime lamb in marginal areas - specifically in pastoral country, as they thrive on rough scrubby feed. They are low maintenance and do not need shearing, crutching, mulesing. The ancestry is solely from British meat breeds. Excellent terminal sire use with other cleanskin sheep such as Dorpers.
